Pevensey Castle
With a history stretching back over 16 centuries, Pevensey Castle chronicles more graphically than any other fortress the story of Britain's south coast defences. An exhibition with artefacts found on site and an audio tour tell the story of the castle.

Hastings Old Town
Overlooked by Hastings Castle, the Old Town hides many an interesting gem. Medieval All Saints Street and All Saints church, the Fisherman’s museum, the Victorian miniature railway and the net huts, famous local landmarks along the harbour front. Bodiam Castle

Lamb House
Dating from the 18th century, brick-fronted Lamb House was home to writer Henry James from 1898-1916 and some of his personal possessions can be seen on display. Combine a visit to the charming walled garden with a day out in the lovely market town of Rye.

Hever Castle
Once the family home of one of England's most famous Queens - Anne Boleyn - Hever is a romantic double moated 13th Century castle.
