When the Cooden Beach golf course first opened back in 1912, it was described as a ‘good sporting course’ by James Braid, the former Open champion and designer of such illustrious golf courses as the King’s and Queen's at Gleneagles. It is an excellent test of golf for players of all abilities, combining the fun of links-style golf with exciting battles with the wind blowing in from Beachy Head.
Age too is no barrier as the springy turf is always pleasant to walk on and the undulations are gentle enough for the most mature of players.
