Golf at The Cooden Beach Hotel

Located next to the hotel you will find the Cooden Beach Golf Club. It was described by James Braid when it first opened back in 1912 as a "good sporting course" and seeing as the former Open champion designed such famous courses as the "Kings" and "Queen's" courses at Gleneagles, there aren't too many golfers in the local area who disagree with him, even to this day.

For the young and strong there are nine holes which exceed 400 yards in length, whilst for the older golfer the undulations are gentle and the springy turf pleasant to walk on. The dykes, ponds and bunkers will catch the wayward shot but the real hazard is the wind, which makes it a different course every time it is played. Fantastic in every way and well worth the green fee.
