Built in 1928 The Cooden Beach Leisure
Hotel is a privately owned hotel stunningly located in two
acres of private gardens directly on the beach in the peaceful
village of Cooden, Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex. The hotel
boasts sweeping views of the ocean and direct private access
to the beach, which stretches as far as the eye can see.

All 41 bedrooms,
many with stunning sea views, promise restful night’s
sleep, most with Tempur Mattresses and all equipped with remote
control satellite television, hairdryer, direct dial telephone
and tea and coffee making facilities. For added luxury, some
rooms have Four Poster beds. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms
recently refurbished to the highest standard.

The Club Bar
is the perfect place to meet friends for coffee or drinks
with a selection of bar food available throughout the day
or for afternoon indulgence there is the Cooden cream tea.
The Cooden Tavern is open daily from 11am
serving traditional pub food with delicious blackboard specials.

The Oceana restaurant
is directly on the beach with its unspoilt views across the
sea serves a delicious selection of traditional English fayre
for both lunch and dinner with specialty Fish and Vegetarian
menus attentively silver served. Sunday lunch is the ever popular
Cooden Carvery where a selection of the finest roast meats are
hand carved by our chefs, accompanied by fresh seasonal vegetables
with a choice of traditional starters and tempting desserts. |
The Leisure Club is open to residents from 7am
until 9pm with an inviting warm and welcoming Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi,
Sauna and
Steam Room. For those who like to work out there is a gym equipped
with free weights and cardiovascular equipment.
For meetings and events there are 4 conference
rooms to choose
from with the Cooden conference package catering for delegate groups
of 5 to 120.
For that special day The Cooden Beach Hotel is
licensed for civil marriage ceremonies and has exceptional experience
in celebrations and wedding receptions both for intimate gatherings
and grand balls.
The hotel is located in the heart of 1066 country,
where you can visit Battle Abbey, the site of the famous Battle
of Hastings or venture to the enchanting medieval town of Rye with
its maze of cobbled streets and wide variety of independent shops.
The theatres of Eastbourne and Hastings are close by with evening
and matinee performances. For the children a trip to Drusilla’s
Zoo in Alfriston is a must.
The Hotel staff are on hand to offer friendly
and helpful advice for you to make the most of your stay; maybe
with flowers and champagne in your room for your arrival or simply
to arrange a packed lunch for you to enjoy a day lazing on the beach.
