10 reasons to visit us this summer

With warmer days and blue skies the majority of the time, it’s finally starting to feel like summer!

Here are our top 10 reasons why you should visit us this summer:

1. Dining Al Fresco for lunch or dinner

With the warmer weather, nothing quite beats enjoying a delicious meal in the sun with friends and family. With a new seasonal menu available for our Beach Terrace, there’s something for everyone including gluten-free and vegetarian options. Of course, our famous and traditional Cooden fish & chips are on the menu, as well as a pint of prawns with crusty bread, plus other tasty dishes. The candyfloss sundae is a must for dessert!

2. Location, location, location!

We’re directly on the beach – it speaks for itself… Enjoy the views of sparkling sea waters and the smell of fresh sea air.  Whilst you relax, the little ones can play on the beach (don’t worry you can easily see them!). If you’re feeling brave you could always go for a dip in the sea?

3. We’re dog-friendly

If you’re out on a dog walk why not stop for a cappuccino or a fresh glass of apple, pear & elderflower juice on our Beach Terrace? There’s plenty of shade for your pooch to cool down and we’ll provide fresh water for them too. If the weather takes a turn for the worst, or you’d like to cool down, our Tavern is dog-friendly. We’ve recently refurbished and there’s a new menu with hearty blackboard specials.

4. Drinks on the Terrace

Enjoy a drink with the ultimate view! It doesn’t have to be alcoholic, we have a wide range of non-alcoholic drinks to choose from. Watch the sunset with a crisp and refreshing glass of pinot grigio blush or an alcohol-free beer… you’ll feel like you’re in the Mediterranean with a view to die for…

5. Breakfast or Brunch outside

When it comes to al fresco dining, you don’t tend to think of breakfast and brunch… but why not? Enjoy the early morning sun just before it’s too warm. We have a delicious breakfast and brunch menu. Tempting options include lobster benedict, a pancake stack with mixed berries and thick cream, along with a pistachio & passion fruit granola.

6. Beachfront Stay

Escape to the coast and make a weekend of it. As soon as you arrive, you’ll be amazed by the view and our location on the beach. You can wake up in the morning to the sound of the waves and a beautiful sunrise over the water. Enjoy sunbathing on the beach and then head to the hot tub, sauna and steam in our Leisure Club to relax even more! You won’t want to leave!

7. Gin Palace

Who doesn’t love a G&T? Our Gin Palace features 18 artisan gins and 9 specialist and flavoursome Fever-Tree mixers.  Sit back and enjoy on the Beach Terrace or in the Cafe Bar.

8. Children’s Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea is a lovely experience for adults – but we thought we’d extend this to children too! Our children’s afternoon tea menu features finger sandwiches, chocolate cake and novelty ice cream.  You’ll definitely keep the children entertained with a combination of the beach and these delicious treats.

9. Free wifi

Good (and free) wifi means you can also organise a business meeting in a lovely location too! Sit in our Cafe Bar or on the Beach Terrace with a coffee, or enjoy lunch overlooking the beach from the Brasserie.  Work always seems better with a fabulous view!  If the weather is warm, the Brasserie’s glass walls fold back so you can really enjoy the setting.

10. Golf

Golf is always better in summer and 18 holes by the sea sounds great doesn’t it? The Cooden Beach Golf Club is one of our neighbours. Take a look at their website. With the beach and other local attractions in Bexhill (including the iconic De La Warr Pavilion), it’s not just the keen golfers that will enjoy the visit.

We look forward to welcoming you to the hotel and beach this summer!
